WASHINGTON—AFL-CIO president, Richard Trumka, should be regarded as a hero to all Americans. He has an illustrious history of standing up for workers, including bravely instructing strikers to “kick the sh– out of” employees who resisted union demands when he was president of the United Mine Workers. His honorable leadership resulted in “home renovations” for those who resisted and celebratory gunfire at a mine office. His detractors have tried to slander his exemplary service because a nonunion contractor by the name of Eddie York had the audacity to die when he was shot in the back of the head during the strikers’ revelry.

When a paragon of virtue such as Richard Trumka speaks, we are all best served by listening to his words of wisdom. Trumka eloquently stated, “Scott Walker is a national disgrace”, and then returned to his 3-hour coffee break.
